About Owen
My passion for Spanish began in high school and continued through university before I spent two years living in Chile, where I spoke Spanish every day. This immersive experience allowed me to develop strong conversational skills while gaining a deeper understanding of Chilean culture and everyday communication.
As someone who learned Spanish from the ground up, I know firsthand the challenges of becoming fluent. That perspective helps me explain grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary in ways that are clear and relatable for English speakers.
I strive to create a professional, patient, and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is not only to help you improve your Spanish but also to help you gain the confidence to use it in real-life situations.

Learning a new language can be challenging, but it doesn’t have to be intimidating. My goal is to create a relaxed, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, because that’s how real learning happens.
I studied Spanish in both high school and university before spending two years living in Chile, where I spoke Spanish every day. That experience helped me develop not only fluency but also an understanding of natural conversation, pronunciation, and Latin American culture.
Lessons are personalized to your goals, whether you’re a complete beginner, an intermediate learner looking to improve your confidence, preparing for school, planning to travel, or simply wanting to become conversational. We can focus on speaking, listening, grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, or any combination that best fits your needs.
