About Koka
I’m a patient, organized, and encouraging tutor with more than 35 years of Spanish study and a B.A. in Spanish. I also bring a professional background in writing, communication, and project management, which has strengthened my ability to explain complex information clearly and adapt to different learning styles.
I work especially well with beginners and students who benefit from repetition, structure, and a low-pressure learning environment. My goal is to make Spanish feel approachable and practical while helping students build confidence in vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, reading, and conversation.
I take preparation seriously, communicate clearly, and tailor lessons to each student’s goals, current level, and areas where they need the most support.

My lessons are designed for any level of Spanish students who want clear explanations, patient support, and plenty of practice. I focus on helping students understand the language rather than simply memorize answers.
A typical lesson may include vocabulary review, basic grammar, pronunciation, reading, conversation practice, and help with school assignments. I adjust each session to the student’s goals, learning style, and comfort level.
I use repetition, examples, and real-life situations to make new material easier to remember. I also spend extra time on similar words or concepts that can be confusing and encourage students to ask questions without feeling rushed.
What sets me apart is my patience and ability to break information into manageable steps. My goal is to help students build confidence while strengthening the vocabulary, grammar, and conversational skills they need for class or everyday Spanish.
