About Galina
Hello! I am a friendly, flexible, motivated tutor who is currently a student at Goldsmiths, University of London - renowned for its creativity. I am reading English Literature with a module in Creative Writing, but my experience doesn't stop there: I am a keen performer and have been writing and playing my own songs since I was fourteen. I took Music at both GCSE and A-Level which built on my raw experiences and made me more knowledgeable in the field. I also love making art and drawing, which gives me an extra creative approach in my teaching (which I also love!).
In my final year at Sixth Form College I started one-on-one tutoring for struggling GCSE students in English Language and Literature, finding success in helping them transition from grade 'D' and under to confident 'C's and 'B's. That really inspired me to take up more teaching, and I love forming positive relationships with students and helping them to achieve.
I do offer tuition in other creative subjects, outside of my speciality (English Literature), such as art; music; creative writing; guitar and singing. By tutoring in subjects that I love, I get to share my enthusiasm and that is very rewarding for me and my tutees.
