About Vera
Hello, my name is Vera Tawia, and I am a passionate and experienced teacher with over 14 years of teaching experience in primary education. I believe that every child can succeed when given the right support, encouragement, and tools to learn.
Over the years, I have taught children across a range of ages and abilities, tutored Mathematics at primary level, and supported students in English up to GCSE level. I have also worked as an A1 Assessor in Childcare and Education, helping learners achieve their qualifications and develop professionally.
My teaching style is patient, nurturing, and tailored to each child's individual needs. I take pride in building children's confidence and helping them develop a positive attitude towards learning. Having mentored new teachers and led various year groups, I bring a wealth of knowledge, dedication, and enthusiasm to every lesson.
One of my greatest passions is teaching phonics and helping children learn to read. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a child gain confidence as they unlock the world of books. I love sparking curiosity, making learning engaging, and celebrating every achievement, no matter how small.
My aim is to create a supportive learning environment where children feel valued, challenged, and inspired to achieve their very best.
