About Sergi

My love for music has led me to dedicate myself to it for many years, both on stage and in teaching. I have participated and participate in projects of various styles, my specialty being the accompaniment to flamenco singing and dance.

Regarding my education, I have a degree in Musical Teaching from the University of Barcelona and a higher degree in Flamenco Guitar by the Conservatory of Córdoba. I recently finished a master's degree in interpretation and composition of jazz and modern music at the University of La Rioja.

I have given private, group, masterclass and conferences in several countries including France, Italy, Cuba, China, Bulgaria and Russia.

I am a patient person and have been self-taught for many years, which has made me analyze the various learning techniques of both the instrument and music theory. In my methodology I use both imitation teaching and written supports. Tactile and auditory sensation exercises. I really enjoy teaching, I also try to make the students enjoy their learning.

My specialty is flamenco guitar, although I also begin to play guitar in general. I usually work with my students on the bases of different styles and songs that they like. I base my methodology on what you already know for more meaningful learning.

[N ] My 20 years in teaching and my self-taught profile contrasted with degrees such as the Higher Degree in Flamenco Guitar, Music Education Teaching or Expert Degree in Composition and Interpretation of Jazz and Modern Music have made me investigate strategies to adapt to various levels with an analytical character without losing the search for fun and satisfaction in musical development. I love teaching and learning. I base my teaching on the imitation method, reinforced by paper, video and audio support.
