About Paul

Hello! I’m Paul, a native French speaker from Nantes, France, now living in Mexico. I’ve been teaching French online and in person for 4 years, with over 5,000 hours of experience, from beginners (A1) to advanced (C2).

I also love French culture, cinema, music, and literature, and we’ll bring these into our lessons to make learning immersive and enjoyable. My goal is for you to feel confident speaking French and look forward to every lesson.

About the lesson

I specialize in making French practical, fun, and easy to remember. In my lessons, you’ll focus on real-life conversation, grammar, and vocabulary, so you can start using French from the very first class. For example, after just 3 lessons, you’ll be able to introduce yourself, order food, and have a simple conversation.

I organise my method around the 4 pillars of the language :
Reading, Listening, Writting and Speaking.

Theses four concepts are the base of most of languages, and it's the constant practice of them that will give you a solid understanding and capacity to speak the language !

Perfect! Paul is a wonderful teacher and guide to the French culture! He is very patient and flexible with each lesson. With Paul's help and coaching me in the language, I was able to excel at passing the A2 French exam. Taking lessons from Paul is an absolute game changer for me! He has a genuine (and contagious!) passion for French, for teaching and has a great sense of humor to keep everything engaging. His lessons are fun and lighthearted, yet informative and concise. He has tons of self-made visual aids, additional resources and you can really tell how much effort he puts into making French easier to learn, for anyone and at any level.

Furthermore, Paul demonstrates incredible commitment to making sure his students really understand what he's teaching, while remaining patient with silly/repeated mistakes (which he will correct in a positive and encouraging way). We had a lesson on a subject that was quite convoluted and Paul made sure to revisit the topic many weeks later to ensure that he had a good explanation for the topic going forward. For any lessons I struggled with (not a lot, honestly), Paul made sure to circle back with a better explanation.

Paul's techniques are effective and his lessons are very well designed for both progress and entertainment. Anecdotally, I started taking French lessons with Paul about 10 months ago and I'm already able to understand the locals and read/write French pretty comfortably (with some help). Highly recommend Paul if you are serious about learning French, and especially if you want to have fun while learning!
