About Valentina

Good morning! Let me introduce myself, I am Valentina, a 22 year old Peruvian student living in France for two years.
Literature, history and languages are my passion. I speak Spanish, French, English and a little Korean.

In Peru, I was a student in a French high school and I did a literary BAC specialized in English. My results were 17.45 / 20 which allowed me to get a VG (very good) mention. So I am used to doing a good job!

I have a C1 level in English certified by KET, FCE, TOEIC and the school I am currently studying at.
Spanish is my mother tongue.

About the lesson

This course is particularly aimed at all beginners (adults, teenagers, children) interested in the Spanish language.
I already have experience with children. I gave French, English and tutoring lessons for children in Peru for two years.

In terms of lessons, I am methodical but also quite creative.
If you haven't had any previous Spanish lessons, the lessons would be like this:

1. Basic vocabulary (hello, goodbye, thanks, country of origin, presentation, interests…): naturally, everyone learns to speak before starting to read or write when we are children. You will therefore speak a little Spanish from the start, which will also help motivate you later on.
2. Alphabet and numbers, basic level 2 vocabulary (animals, country, down, up, etc.)
3. Present tenses and the construction of sentences in the present tense (+ reading and speaking)
4. Past tenses and the construction of past sentences (+ reading and speaking)
5. The times of the future and the construction of sentences in the future (+ reading and speaking)
6. Review of the tenses of the present, past, future (+ reading and speaking)
7. Other times (conditional, etc.)
8. Vocabulary and oral expression

Of course, exercises will be present throughout the lessons in order to develop memorization of grammar rules and spelling. As someone fascinated by reading this is my favorite way to work on vocabulary, then put to the test with oral expression. However, other mediums that I also use regularly are YouTube, mini-documentaries, infographics, and games (for children).

As a student, I know that in order to to learn as much as possible during a course it is imperative to be motivated. However, motivation can easily be lost if it is not dynamic and fun enough. This is why I like to exchange between several supports and methods. In addition, my lessons are prepared in advance and are personalized according to the interests of the student in order to maintain his attention during the course of the lessons. The best way to learn is when you don't even realize you're doing it!
