About Karabelo
Hello! I am a PGCE graduate with majors in English and Technology, and I am passionate about helping students become confident academic writers. Through my experience in higher education, both online and in person, I have supported students with learning materials, assessments, and academic tasks.
I am interested in teaching because I enjoy seeing students move from feeling overwhelmed by an assignment to understanding their topic, organising their ideas, and expressing themselves clearly. Academic writing is not just about getting the structure right—it is about developing confidence, critical thinking, and a strong academic voice.
My role is to guide and encourage you throughout the writing process, so you can produce work that is truly your own and feel proud of your progress.

My teaching approach is practical, supportive, and focused on helping students become confident, independent academic writers. I break the writing process into clear, manageable steps and give constructive feedback that helps students improve their own work.
I teach in English and can support students with academic writing, essay structure, literature-based assignments, and referencing.
In a typical lesson, we begin by unpacking the assignment question and identifying exactly what is being asked. We then brainstorm ideas, develop an effective outline, and plan each section of the essay or assignment. I review drafts with you, helping you strengthen clarity, structure, argument, grammar, and referencing. My aim is to guide you through revisions so that your final submission reflects your own ideas and best work.
My lessons are suited to high-school, college, and university students who need support with essays, assignments, research writing, literature analysis, and referencing. Whether you are struggling to start, organise your ideas, or improve a draft, I will help you approach academic writing with greater confidence.
