About Tasha

My passion for teaching stems from my belief in the transformative power of education. I see teaching as an opportunity to empower students, equipping them with the knowledge and skills they need to in succeed the ever-evolving world of marketing. I am particularly interested in teaching because I want to inspire the next generation of marketers to think creatively, strategically, and ethically about their work. I look forward to sharing my expertise and passion for business, marketing, and technology with my students, and I am excited to learn from them as well. I believe that teaching is a two-way street, and I am always open to new ideas and perspectives. I am committed to providing my students with a comprehensive, relevant, and engaging education.

About the lesson

As a seasoned marketing professional and academic, I bring a unique blend of practical industry experience and theoretical knowledge to the table. My journey began with a 1st Class BA (Hons) in Tourism Management, followed by a fully funded PhD investigating behavioural responses to Virtual Reality (VR) in retail marketing environments. This research allowed me to delve deep into the realms of User Experience, Human-Computer Interaction, and Artificial Intelligence - areas that are increasingly relevant in today's digital marketing landscape. I've also honed my skills in digital innovation as a Business Consultant, where I helped businesses leverage the latest technologies to drive growth.

In terms of my teaching background, I've had the privilege of being associated with Manchester Metropolitan University in various capacities. As a Postgraduate Supervisor, I've guided students through the complexities of research, data collection, and analysis, fostering a supportive and encouraging learning environment. I've also taught modules that span the breadth of marketing and analytics, from the principles of marketing to business research methods. My approach to teaching is rooted in real-world application, ensuring students not only understand the theory but can also apply it in practical scenarios. I'm proud to say that many of my students have gone on to successful careers in marketing and technology, a testament to the effectiveness of this approach.
