About Irini
My name is Irini and I am a PhD Student in Hispanic Studies and Art History at Durham University. I love teaching because I enjoy seeing others succeed and I genuinely want to give that extra help and inspire motivation in students. I always set homework and tests during and after lessons to ensure a constant learning progression.

QUALIFICATIONS and TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I am currently completing a PhD in Hispanic Studies and Art History. I hold an MA in Foreign Languages, Literatures and Cultures at Distinction level (first-class degree) and a BA in French and Spanish with a Year Abroad, where I focused on cultural studies and critical theory.
I have had eight years of tutoring students of different levels in English, French and Spanish, and one year of classroom intervention as a teaching assistant in a secondary school. I have also taught for Pembroke College, Oxford University and received outstanding reviews.
TEACHING METHODS
First Lesson
I spend the first lesson gaging the student's ability, weaknesses and strengths. I will then usually be able to set tasks in advance for the student to complete outside of lessons, and to plan lessons according to preferences and needs
A lesson is one hour long and I specialise in teaching GCSE and A Level Students. I can also teach adults and beginners in a foreign language.
