Hi, I tutor GCSE maths. As I have a PhD in Statistics from Cambridge University and 5 yrs+ experience in statistics research I can also help with masters level or PhD subjects with a statistics component and with consultancy. - Which subject(s) do you teach? - Maths GCSE - GCSE topics: Number, Algebra, Geometry, Measures, Statistics, Probability Example Topics: Arithmetic, Fractions, Algebra, Problem Solving, Prime Factorisation, Percentages, Formulae, Simultaneous Equations, Geometry, Circles, Triangles, Trigonometry, Pythagoras' Theorem, Angles, Sine and Cosine Rules, Quadrilaterals, Solids, Transformations, Quadratics, Polygons, Functions, Graphs, Inequalities, Loci, Sequences, Series, Vectors, Probability, Statistics, Frequency Tables, Stem and Leaf, Pie Charts, Histograms, Distributions, Expectation, Variance, Sampling and Estimation, Hypothesis Tests - Tell me about your qualifications. Qualifications in Maths and Probability and Statistics up to PhD Level - GCSE Maths, AO level Maths, A-level Maths and Further Maths - BSc Hons in Maths, Statistics and Operational Research from Cardiff University - MSc in Statistics from UCL and PhD in Medical Statistics from Cambridge University (mentored by Prof David Spiegelhalter FRS and Professor for the Public Understanding of Risk at Cambridge University) - How much do you charge? - £30/hr - Payment by online BACS transfer, Paypal, cheque or postal order - Where do you teach At home or online - For students (and parents in particular): I expect that you or your child only hands in work to school teachers that they understand themselves, through my help or otherwise. This is essential for coordination with their classroom work and their progression towards exams - Which ages and levels do you teach? - School years 10-11 (14-16 yrs) - Masters level or PhD level for subjects with a statistics component - Consultancy - Which qualifications do you prepare your students for? GCSE Masters PhD - Describe your arrangements for online tutoring. Ideally you would have a laptop camera on yourself and another camera (e.g. phone on a gooseneck stand) on your written work. Email material beforehand, with your working, so that we can go through it together - Do you have a personal message for students? - Please be careful to submit work to school or college that you understand yourself, through my help or otherwise. This will ensure the work coordinates with your classroom work and enable you to progress towards your exam

Olivia is highly professional. She is very dedicated to work and patient in explaining tasks. She has a profound knowlegde in Statistics and is excellent at transfering knowledge. Highly recommend her!
I am impressed with her ability to quickly identify areas of statistics relevant to analysing data I want to collect. She went straight into formula examples and demonstrated some relevant appreciation of surrounding topics in maths. She also appreciates the needs of data users.
I am a former colleague of Olivia. She is a super-talented statistician and super-friendly, so I think she'd be a fantastic tutor!
Olivia is helpful and knowledgable and always keen to pass on her skills or advise
I worked with Olivia as a researcher in Statistics. Olivia is a talented and patient person. She has good communication skills and is able to work effectively with a variety of people. With a first class degree from Cardiff and a PhD from Cambridge, there are few people as well qualified to teach as she is.
Olivia is super knowledgeable in her field of expertise and yet is very approachable and has a warm manner. If you want the expert, you can't do any better than Olivia.
