About Matthew
Hi I'm Matt! I am a recent PhD Graduate from the University of Adelaide, completing my thesis in visual evolution in July 2022. This has given me over 10 years of experience in academic writing, essay writing, thesis preparation and exam question answering. I am also a native English speaker, born and raised in England, which gives me a deep understanding and respect for the language and its literature.

I prefer a more personable and relaxed approach to teaching, tailored to each students needs. I possess a PhD in Biology, which has given me over 10 years of experience in academic writing, and I have papers published in academic journals, as well as a 60,000 word thesis accepted and published. I also have experience with the IELTS tests, having helped my partner to achieve an 8 overall, with a 9.0 in listening and 8.5 in reading. This gives me the ability to teach anyone wishing to improve their English, but especially students wishing to improve their academic writing, and students learning English as a second language. Lessons can be 1-3 hours in length.
