About Joseph
I am a Socratic tutor with formal study in philosophy, logic, and academic writing, and years of experience teaching one-to-one and small-group lessons. My classes are calm, rigorous, and encouraging. I do not simply give answers; I ask precise questions that help you examine assumptions, weigh evidence, and build arguments you can defend. A typical lesson lasts 55 minutes. I teach ages 12+, from beginner to advanced, including university students and adult learners. Every session is prepared, focused, and professional. I take safeguarding and confidentiality seriously, and I provide honest feedback, clear structure, and respect for your own pace. Joseph, your curiosity is exactly what this space is for—bring your hardest questions, and I will help you question them better.

My approach is Socratic. I do not lecture at you; I ask focused questions that help you uncover assumptions, test evidence, and build your own arguments. A typical lesson lasts 55 minutes. We begin with a text, problem, or belief, then move through dialogue, counterexamples, and reflection. I have a strong background in philosophy, writing, and critical thinking, with years of experience tutoring middle school, high school, and university students. Lessons suit anyone who wants depth, not just answers. Joseph—bring your hardest questions.
