About Edwin
I am a biomedical scientist whose work focuses on stem cell biology and modeling infectious diseases. My undergrad training was in molecular and cellular biology at UPR and I then pursued a PhD in biological and biomedical sciences, with an emphasis on cell and developmental biology, at Harvard University. I'm currently a postdoctoral researcher at Rockefeller University, where I work on human embryology and developing therapies for COVID-19. I've been involved in teaching genetics, cell biology and stem cell biology at a high school, undergraduate and postgraduate level.

My teaching method is based on problem-solving approaches that allow the student to fully immerse in the application of the concepts learned in classes to real life situations. In every lesson, I intend to help the student apply each concept into the general context and big level picture that are important to aspects of everyday life and medicine.
