About Jeraldine
I am an experienced tutor of English as a Foreign Language for students of all ages and abilities, having taught online and in person in the UK and abroad. For 18 months I taught English online for a French company, and I have experience as a private nanny and tutor for under 16s in London over 3 years. I have also taught English, Maths, Science and Geography in India and Nepal, and I have led more than 60 trainings in Design Thinking and workshop facilitation while working as a Community Developer in Lebanon.
I speak 3 languages: English, French and Arabic, and I have lived in 7 countries countries: the UK (each of England, Wales and Scotland), Morocco, Lebanon, Jordan, India, Nepal, and the USA. I am a graduate of MA Arabic and Philosophy from the University of St Andrews and my hobbies include surfing, hiking, and reading up on law and politics.

My teaching experience has been with all ages and abilities for English language and Design Thinking trainings, and I take a student-oriented approach. That means assessing your needs and best learning methods, and building the lesson plan around you. I believe in optimising your lesson time through interactive learning experiences and incorporating learning into your daily routine wherever possible.
I also tutor core subjects (English, Maths, Science, French, History) up to GCSE and in these cases develop a learning strategy around the relevant curriculum and target gaps in the student's knowledge of it.
