I have studied and/or taught at Georgetown University, Middlebury College, and Vanderbilt University in the US, the London School of Economics and Political Science in the UK, the American University in Cairo, Egypt, and Srinakharinwirot University in Bangkok, Thailand.
I know what it is like to be a student who needs a little help or guidance, and I see my role as empowering students to take their next step.

I have worked with students all the way from graduate school to elementary school, and from a wide range of countries and courses of study.
Whether it is a difficult book, concept, or argument, or unfamiliar periods, figures, or movements in history, I'm excited to work on anything currently challenging you. We can go as slowly or quickly as you like to carefully discuss and master the ideas and vocabulary involved. I'm flexible and happy to help you work your ideas out or push you to find new ways to approach whatever problems you are facing.
I'm an optimist and I believe learning can be liberating, and I truly enjoy being able to share that with students.
