About Nicola
I have a BA in Philosophy and Literature from the University of Warwick, and a MA in Critical and Cultural Theory from the University of Cardiff. I have worked with students at GCSE, A Level and undergraduate stages from both state and independent schools.
My previous teaching experience includes Hengshui University and Ardmore Language Schools, but I am happiest tutoring an one-to-one.
I love philosophy, and I love helping other people engage with it. Whether you just want to get through your exams, or you want to study philosophy at a higher level, I think anyone can benefit by thinking deeply about the world.

I am happy to support school/college courses and self-directed study.
As well as helping students prepare for GCSE and A LEVEL, I have worked with students undertaking independent study to prepare for university applications and interviews. My tutees have, without exception, exceeded their own expectations, and many have gone on to study at Cambridge and Russell Group universities.
Depending on your needs, we may spend our time ensuring a thorough understanding of course material, honing your exam technique, or following your interests over a breadth of philosophical topics (the latter is particularly helpful for Oxbridge applicants).
I tutor from my home in South Bank, near Millthorpe School, in person or online. I do not travel for teaching, but I may be willing to tutor in your home if you are also a South Bank resident!

Sessions last one hour. Before each session, I will be available to look at work you have prepared and submitted 24 hours in advance. This is included in the session cost.
