About Colleen
I currently work as an instructional assistant in the English department at Grand Canyon University, as well as as a tutor in the writing center at South Mountain Community College. I have also carried out internships in English classrooms at both Arizona State and South Mountain Community College as part of my degree. I have also trained under the American Youth Literacy Foundation as a reading tutor, and currently work with elementary school students at the Hirsch Academy in Phoenix, AZ.

I am a current graduate student at Arizona State University working on an MA in English Linguistics. I have previously received a BA in English, along with a TESOL certificate to teach English as a second language. I have taken courses in English composition, literature, and linguistics, as well as courses in second language acquisition and second language teaching.
My qualifications include English grammar, reading, writing, and conversational practice for both first and second language English users.
