About Lauren

I obtained my BSc Honours in Chemistry at UP, after which I tutored at the university for a year. I have almost 4 years of private tutoring experience and enjoy working with High School and varsity students to reach their academic goals. I'm passionate about education and am currently completing my PGCE.

About the lesson

My approach is to give the student a bigger picture by covering the theory broadly, only then going into the details and application of the knowledge. I usually make notes for my students to study from and work through questions together in order to prepare for tests. I encourage my students to communicate their personal academic needs in the subject so that we can tackle those problems first and thereafter work ahead if possible to give the student a head-start in class.

Ma rates for one-on-one sessions are as follows:
In-person at the student's home - R200 per student per hour
Online via google meets - R180 per student per hour

For groups of 2-4 students attending the lesson at the same time, I offer a discount of R20 per hour, thus:
