About Corky

I have been a professional musician my entire life. instructing over 3500 piano and accordion students. I have worked with every level of players, from beginner students to the top pros.

I firmly believe that all students should possess not only good technique, but also the knowledge of basic music theory. By combining the two, students can achieve a level of musicianship far above the average! While working on these two concepts, we add songs to the mix and then, "Voila."

About the lesson

I have many years of experience with students of all ages. I teach basic music theory, as well. Each weekly online lesson is 40 - 50 minutes. I teach on Zoom, using the Alfred piano series plus my own music theory book. My accordion students learn from the Palmer-Hughes method.

I divide each lesson into 3 parts;
1. Technique/reading,
2. Basic music theory
3. Songs.

Most teachers just give their students a song to learn and then send them on their way. Because of my vast experience as a professional, I know how important music theory is, when it comes to learning music.
