About Gloria

Ever wonder why some piano players seem to move with such effortless grace? I started my journey through late night practice sessions and endless scales in conservatory halls.

After 13 years of performing and teaching 295 students, I have seen it all. I work with everyone from kids and adults to intermediate learners and those returning to the keys. My focus remains on posture, hand position, and the rhythmic precision required for solid playing. I also emphasize sight reading and ear training to ensure you hear what you play.

Whether you are prepping for ABRSM or Trinity exams, we will move through the technical hurdles together. I will keep our process light and focused on the physical sensations of good technique. Expect a steady, playful approach that prioritizes your comfort at the instrument.

About the lesson

You deserve a teaching environment that respects your individual musical goals and personal pace. I hold a BMus in Vocal Performance and Piano, so I view every piano lesson through the lens of a collaborative musician. We will incorporate detailed work on pedalling technique and arpeggios to build your confidence. My teaching relies on constant attention to your posture and the specific demands of your chosen repertoire.

I use a free trial lesson to map out your goals and ensure our time remains productive. Focusing on rhythm and timing allows us to resolve those nagging technical slips you encounter during practice. We ensure that our sessions provide the structure needed for exam prep while maintaining a focus on musicality. It is a genuine pleasure to see students find real enjoyment in the technical challenges of the piano.
