About Mena

With 20 years of Piano teaching experience, I have helped many students build strong musical skills and confidence. I teach school students, college students, and working professionals who are interested in learning Piano for personal enjoyment, education, or performance.

My teaching philosophy emphasises patience, adaptability, and continuous growth. I believe that every student learns differently, and I work hard to create lessons that suit their unique needs and goals.

My classes cover piano fundamentals, scales, chords, rhythm development, sight reading, ear training, music theory, improvisation, and performance techniques. I focus on helping students understand music while developing practical playing skills.

Apart from Piano instruction, I teach keyboard skills and foundational music theory. These subjects strengthen overall musicianship and help students become more independent learners.

My goal is to make learning Piano enjoyable, rewarding, and meaningful. Through encouragement, personalised instruction, and consistent support, I help students unlock their potential and develop a lasting appreciation for music.

About the lesson

My teaching philosophy is to make piano learning simple, enjoyable, and rewarding for every student. Using communication, creativity, flexibility, and positive motivation, I create a supportive learning environment where students feel confident to learn, practise, and perform.

The learning journey begins with posture, hand position, finger exercises, rhythm, note reading, and music theory. These strong foundations prepare students for scales, chords, arpeggios, dynamics, pedal techniques, sight reading, expressive playing, and stage performance.

I encourage students to understand music through practical experience, listening activities, and guided practice. Every lesson includes revision, personalised feedback, and goal-based practice plans that support continuous improvement.

Students explore different musical styles while developing creativity through improvisation, accompaniment, and expressive performance. These activities strengthen musical understanding and build confidence.

Besides piano, I teach keyboard techniques, rhythm training, ear training, music theory, sight reading, performance preparation, and music appreciation. These supporting subjects help students become skilled and well-rounded musicians.

My goal is to guide every student with patience and encouragement, helping them achieve steady progress, enjoy learning, and develop a lifelong passion for piano and music.
