About Pia

I completed a Master’s Degree in Piano Pedagogy and Classical Performance after years of focused learning in instrumental interpretation, music theory, and performance techniques during my academic studies. Over the past 10 years, I have worked with students from different backgrounds and skill levels, helping them improve through personalised instruction and supportive mentorship. Teaching piano allows me to combine creativity, communication, and artistic expression in a rewarding and meaningful way. I enjoy helping learners become more confident musicians through engaging and practical lessons.

My teaching approach focuses on adaptability, patience, and balanced musical development. Some students improve best through technical repetition and structured exercises, while others respond more naturally to improvisation and creative exploration. I carefully adjust lessons according to each learner’s confidence level, comfort, and artistic goals. Along with technical development, I help students strengthen listening ability, rhythm awareness, expressive playing, and performance confidence. Creating a welcoming and motivating learning atmosphere remains one of my highest priorities as a teacher.

Outside teaching, I continue practising piano, exploring different musical genres, and studying educational approaches that help keep lessons inspiring and engaging. Music remains an important source of creativity and emotional expression in my life. One of the most rewarding parts of teaching is seeing students become more expressive and self-assured throughout their musical journey.

About the lesson

My piano lessons focus on helping students strengthen technical foundations while developing creativity and expressive playing through practical and engaging learning sessions. I teach note reading, rhythm control, hand coordination, finger independence, expressive phrasing, and dynamic balance using exercises that feel approachable for learners at every stage. Lessons also include improvisation tasks, sight-reading activities, ear training, duet exercises, and timing practice that help students improve naturally through consistent repetition. I create a calm and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable exploring music while building healthy technical habits. Every lesson supports both musical development and artistic individuality together.

Beginners focus on keyboard awareness, scales, posture, and simple melodies through patient instruction and structured routines that build healthy playing habits gradually. Intermediate learners improve coordination between both hands, smoother transitions, expressive timing, and rhythmic consistency through guided exercises and focused studies. Advanced students strengthen emotional interpretation, advanced repertoire, performance confidence, and stage preparation through detailed coaching sessions. I carefully adapt lessons according to each learner’s pace, personality, and musical goals so progress remains balanced and motivating throughout the learning process.

Learning piano should feel rewarding, meaningful, and enjoyable. I encourage students to appreciate gradual progress while building confidence through supportive feedback and regular practice. Many learners become more expressive and independent as their musical understanding develops naturally over time. My goal is to help students strengthen both technical skill and artistic confidence while building a lasting connection with music.
