About Donna

I am a piano tutor with 9 years of experience and a PhD in Piano Performance. I enjoy helping students turn simple musical ideas into expressive performances through patient teaching and personalized guidance.

My teaching style focuses on building confidence through clear instruction, consistent practice, and enjoyable learning experiences. Every lesson is adapted to support the learner's individual pace and musical interests.

Outside teaching, I enjoy composing piano music, performing collaborative concerts, and exploring classical and modern piano repertoire. These experiences help me make every lesson practical, inspiring, and engaging.

About the lesson

My piano lessons focus on helping students build strong musical foundations while enjoying every lesson. We study note reading, finger independence, rhythm training, scales, chords, hand coordination, dynamics, and expressive playing through practical activities that make learning both enjoyable and rewarding. Every lesson encourages steady progress and confidence.

As students improve, we work on duet playing, sight reading, improvisation, pedal control, accompaniment techniques, tone shaping, and performance preparation. I provide supportive feedback and creative exercises that strengthen technical ability while helping learners perform naturally and confidently.

My goal is to help every student become a skilled pianist who enjoys expressing ideas through music. Every lesson develops confidence, discipline, creativity, and a lasting appreciation for piano performance.
