About Richard

I'm a Peterborough (UK) based musician and music teacher, and I enjoy a mix of teaching and professional piano playing. I have played at many dance schools and performed in London theatres (musical theatre is a particular specialism!) So whatever your reason for taking lessons, I aim to provide a fun and informal yet focused music lesson.

About the lesson

I love to teach piano to enthusiastic students and have been working 1-to-1 with pupils of all ages since 2018, in schools across the region and privately. I have taken numerous students through Grades and have a 100% pass rate. I believe in teaching musical styles that appeal to each student as an individual.

He makes everything very easy to understand, even to a layperson. He can provide clear examples which are easy to remember. One example is when he explained time signatures using different dances as reference points. He demonstrates great patience and a vast knowledge as a teacher.
