About Jayne
With more than 7 years of experience teaching piano, I specialize in helping college students build solid technical skills and enjoy the learning process. My lessons are personalized and adapted to each student’s strengths and interests. I combine traditional piano teaching with innovative approaches such as improvisation exercises, modern music arrangements, and interactive sight-reading practice.
I focus on technique, rhythm, theory, and performance preparation. I believe piano learning should be enjoyable and rewarding. My aim is to guide students toward steady improvement, confidence, and a deeper connection with music.

My piano teaching approach combines creativity, mentorship, and accountability. I focus on helping students develop technical skills, musical understanding, and confidence.
Creativity is encouraged through improvisation, exploring different music genres, and playing songs students enjoy. Lessons are designed to be engaging and allow students to express themselves naturally.
As a mentor and critical thinker, I explain rhythm, finger technique, scales, chords, and musical expression in simple, easy-to-follow steps. Students learn to reflect on their playing and improve independently.
Accountability is built through goal setting, regular practice routines, and continuous feedback. This helps students stay disciplined, motivated, and consistent in their learning.
Along with piano, I also teach music theory, sight reading, ear training, rhythm practice, keyboard skills, and basic composition to support well-rounded musical development.
