About Asha

I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance and have 11 years of teaching experience working with students across different levels. My interest in piano began at a young age and grew into a deep passion for both performance and teaching. Over the years, I have guided many students in developing strong technical skills and musical understanding.

My teaching approach focuses on clarity, patience, and consistent practice. I break down complex pieces into smaller sections so students can learn them comfortably and build confidence gradually. I use exercises, demonstrations, and personalized guidance to help students improve effectively. I also adapt my teaching style to match each student’s pace and learning style.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy practicing piano and exploring different musical styles to stay inspired and updated. Teaching piano is very rewarding because I see students grow in skill and confidence over time. Helping them enjoy music and express themselves creatively motivates me to continue teaching with dedication and enthusiasm.

About the lesson

Piano learning becomes much more enjoyable when students understand both the technical and expressive sides of music instead of just playing notes. My lessons focus on building strong foundations in finger technique, rhythm, reading music, and coordination between both hands. I guide students step by step so they can understand how to play smoothly, accurately, and with expression. I also include exercises that improve timing, dynamics, and musical interpretation, helping students develop a well-rounded skill set. Each session is structured yet flexible, creating a comfortable environment where students can learn at their own pace.

I design my lessons based on the student’s level and musical goals to ensure steady progress. Beginners focus on basic hand positioning, simple melodies, and reading notes. Intermediate learners work on coordination, scales, and more complex pieces with improved control. Advanced students focus on expression, performance techniques, and advanced compositions. Practice routines, guided exercises, and feedback are included in every lesson to support continuous improvement.

Piano also helps students develop focus, discipline, and creativity. As they improve, they gain confidence in their ability to perform and express emotions through music. Many students find playing the piano both relaxing and rewarding. My goal is to make piano learning engaging, structured, and enjoyable while helping students build lasting musical skills.
