About Siena
My connection to the piano began early in life, driven by a fascination with sound, harmony, and the emotional power of music. Over nine years of teaching, I’ve had the privilege of guiding students from their first notes to advanced performances, witnessing how music can strengthen focus, confidence, and creativity. Teaching has allowed me to share not only technical skills but also the deeper joy that comes from personal expression through music. I teach with patience, structure, and genuine enthusiasm. Every student brings a unique personality and learning style, and I adapt my methods to support their growth. I emphasise consistent practice, musical curiosity, and thoughtful interpretation. Whether helping a learner understand a challenging passage or preparing them for a recital, I aim to make lessons motivating, structured, and encouraging. My approach blends discipline with warmth, ensuring students feel supported throughout their musical journey. Beyond the classroom, I continue performing, studying new repertoire, and exploring modern approaches to piano pedagogy. Music has shaped my life in countless ways, and sharing that passion with students is deeply meaningful. Seeing learners grow into confident, expressive musicians remains at the heart of why I teach and inspires me to keep improving as both a pianist and an educator.

My piano lessons are built on the idea that music should be both skilful and expressive. I create a learning environment where students feel supported, inspired, and motivated to grow at their own pace. Each session blends foundational technique with musical interpretation, helping learners understand the balance between precision and creativity. Through rhythm exercises, posture guidance, and carefully selected repertoire, students develop a strong foundation while exploring their personal musical identity. Beginners start with basic note reading, finger strength exercises, and simple melodies that introduce coordination and rhythm. Intermediate students work on scales, arpeggios, dynamic control, and expressive phrasing. Advanced learners dive into complex pieces, stylistic interpretation, and performance preparation. Lessons also include ear training, sight-reading, theory, and improvisation to deepen musical understanding. Assignments are personalised—whether preparing for exams, concerts, or improving general musical confidence. Piano lessons are designed to help students experience both progress and joy. Many have participated in school performances, recitals, competitions, and creative projects that showcase their growth. Beyond technical improvement, learners develop patience, artistic confidence, and a long-lasting appreciation for music. My goal is to help students become expressive musicians who can interpret pieces deeply, perform with assurance, and enjoy the lifelong journey of playing the piano.
