About Zoe

I earned a PhD in Piano Studies and have been teaching piano for 9 years. During this time, I have helped students develop strong technical foundations while encouraging creative musical expression. Supporting learners as they become confident musicians has always been one of the most rewarding parts of my career.

My teaching approach combines patience, organisation, and flexibility. I believe every learner deserves lessons that match their pace while encouraging continuous improvement. Building confidence through clear explanations and practical learning remains central to my teaching.

Outside teaching, I enjoy arranging piano music, accompanying instrumentalists, and studying different piano traditions. These experiences bring fresh inspiration into every lesson. Helping students discover a lifelong love for piano continues to motivate me every day.

About the lesson

My piano lessons help students build musical confidence through enjoyable and structured learning. We explore finger independence, rhythm control, sight reading, scales, chord progressions, pedal technique, dynamics, articulation, ear training, duet playing, and expressive interpretation. Every lesson is designed to help learners understand music while developing reliable technical skills at a comfortable pace.

Each class includes rhythm exercises, creative improvisation, listening activities, score reading, technical studies, and performance preparation. I personalise every lesson according to the student's learning style and goals. Regular encouragement and detailed feedback help students improve steadily while enjoying every new challenge they overcome.

I believe piano learning should inspire confidence, creativity, and curiosity. Every lesson encourages students to express themselves naturally while developing lasting musical habits. My goal is to help learners enjoy the instrument and continue growing with enthusiasm and confidence.
