About Imogen
I am a piano tutor with 12 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Keyboard Performance. I enjoy helping students discover that learning piano becomes rewarding when every lesson is encouraging, practical, and suited to individual goals.
My teaching style combines patience with clear instruction and creative learning. I believe every student deserves lessons that inspire confidence while developing strong technical and musical foundations.
Outside teaching, I enjoy arranging piano music, performing with small ensembles, and exploring classical and contemporary repertoire. These experiences help me bring fresh ideas and practical knowledge into every lesson.

My piano lessons are designed to help students become confident musicians through steady learning and enjoyable practice. We work on finger strength, hand coordination, rhythm reading, note recognition, scales, chord progressions, pedal control, sight reading, and expressive dynamics using structured activities and engaging pieces. Every lesson develops both accuracy and musical confidence.
As students improve, we introduce improvisation, duet playing, accompaniment patterns, ear training, phrasing, musical interpretation, and performance preparation. I provide personalized guidance, practice routines, and constructive feedback so learners continue progressing while enjoying each achievement.
My goal is to help students play the piano with confidence, creativity, and musical understanding. Every lesson builds lasting skills that support enjoyable performances and lifelong appreciation for music.
