About Owen
I am a piano tutor with 8 years of experience and a B.Mus in Piano Performance along with an M.Mus in Music Education. I specialize in developing technical skill, musical interpretation, and performance readiness for students of all levels. I teach beginners establishing foundational technique, intermediate learners refining musicality and sight-reading, and advanced learners mastering performance and expressive repertoire. Lessons include exercises, repertoire practice, improvisation, and performance guidance. Instruction is tailored to each student’s goals. Beginners focus on posture, fingering, and basic melodies. Intermediate learners enhance technique, phrasing, and sight-reading. Advanced learners concentrate on repertoire mastery, improvisation, and performance readiness. Feedback is continuous, constructive, and personalized. Lessons balance skill development, artistic exploration, and confidence-building. Outside teaching, I perform, explore diverse repertoire, and mentor students for recitals and projects. Teaching piano allows me to witness learners develop skill, expressiveness, and confidence.
