About Nina

My journey with piano began through formal study and performance, leading me to earn a B.Mus in Piano Performance and an M.Mus in Piano Pedagogy. Over 9 years, I have taught students of various ages and abilities, helping them develop strong technique and expressive confidence through personalized instruction. I believe piano education should be both structured and inspiring. I focus on clear explanations, gradual progression, and encouraging students to think musically rather than mechanically. Lessons are tailored to individual goals, ensuring progress without overwhelm. Outside teaching, I continue performing, studying new repertoire, and exploring pedagogical research. Teaching piano is deeply fulfilling because I witness students grow not only as musicians, but also in confidence, discipline, and creativity that positively influence many areas of their lives.

About the lesson

Piano lessons are most successful when students develop strong fundamentals alongside musical understanding. My lessons focus on hand position, coordination, rhythm, sight-reading, harmony, and expressive interpretation. I help learners understand how technique and musicality work together, enabling them to play with confidence and intention. Each lesson is structured, supportive, and engaging, encouraging consistent progress.

Beginner students learn basic note reading, hand coordination, rhythm, and simple repertoire. Intermediate learners expand scale fluency, chord progressions, pedal technique, and expressive phrasing. Advanced students focus on advanced repertoire, stylistic interpretation, technical refinement, and performance preparation. Lessons include guided practice, clear goals, and constructive feedback to support steady improvement.

Piano lessons also enhance concentration, discipline, creativity, and emotional expression. Students develop confidence as they learn to interpret music independently and overcome challenges. My goal is to help learners enjoy the piano while building skills that support lifelong musical growth.
