About Tori

I have a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance and 10 years of teaching experience. My passion for music began through years of piano study and performance opportunities that shaped my appreciation for the instrument. Teaching became a meaningful way to share that passion while helping students achieve their goals.

My teaching philosophy combines structure, encouragement, and individualized support. Every learner develops differently, so I adapt lessons to fit their strengths and challenges. Through technical training, repertoire study, and performance coaching, I help students build both confidence and musical ability. Creating a positive learning environment is central to my approach.

Outside teaching, I enjoy performing, exploring piano literature, and studying different musical traditions. These interests help me bring fresh ideas into lessons. Teaching piano is rewarding because I get to watch students grow from beginners into confident musicians. Their achievements continue to inspire me as an educator.

About the lesson

My piano lessons focus on helping students develop technical skills while enjoying the creative and expressive side of music. We work on note reading, rhythm training, finger coordination, sight-reading, scales, chord understanding, musical phrasing, and performance preparation through structured learning activities. I encourage students to understand the music they play rather than simply memorizing notes. This helps create deeper musical understanding and lasting progress.

Lessons are tailored to fit each student's level and musical goals. Beginners focus on foundational skills, hand coordination, and simple pieces that build confidence. Intermediate learners strengthen technique, reading ability, and musical expression. Advanced students refine performance skills, interpretive choices, and advanced repertoire. Personalized guidance helps students continue improving effectively.

I believe learning piano should be motivating and enjoyable. My lessons create a supportive atmosphere where students feel encouraged to explore their musical abilities. As learners gain experience, their confidence naturally increases. My goal is to help students develop skills that allow them to enjoy music throughout their lives.
