About Lara

I am a piano tutor with over 3 years of experience teaching students both in-person and online. I earned a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance with a Pedagogy focus. My lessons focus on sight-reading fluency, score analysis, and interpreting complex classical repertoire with style and expression. I adapt instruction to each student’s goals and abilities, incorporating music history, theory, finger exercises, and period performance practices. I have worked with students from beginner to advanced levels, as well as professional and expert classical pianists. My teaching fosters technical accuracy, interpretive insight, and expressive performance. Students develop skills in critical analysis, phrasing, and stylistic awareness. Lessons blend structured exercises with creative exploration to promote both skill and artistry. I encourage independent, thoughtful musicianship and musical confidence. About the lesson

My piano teaching methodology emphasizes ear training and developing strong auditory skills. Lessons include recognizing chords, melodies, and rhythms by ear and practicing perfect pitch. I help Composers and Digital Producers understand musical structures without relying on sheet music. Students engage in interval exercises, melodic dictation, harmonic analysis, and rhythmic transcription. Lessons are designed for all levels, from beginners to advanced performers. My approach integrates theory, listening practice, and practical keyboard exercises. Students strengthen musical intuition, improvisation, and creative expression. I provide regular feedback to guide learning and ensure steady progress. Lessons foster independence in recognizing patterns and structures. Students gain confidence in reproducing music and composing by ear. My approach balances technical skill with artistic development. Together, we cultivate intuitive musicianship and a deep connection to sound.
