About Hannah
I'm a piano and synth player, singer, composer and producer. My music at the boundaries of pop, sound-art, jazz and contemporary classical has been featured by the likes of Gramophone, Songlines, BBC Radio 1, 2, 3 and 6 and UNESCO.
My primary instrument is piano. I received the highest ABRSM Grade 8 piano result in her county at 17 and went on to explore folk and jazz repertoires. I have 8+ years of piano teaching experience and also play accordion, oboe, synth and sing.
From a state school background, I worked hard to achieve a First Class Music degree from Oxford University, specialising in composition, theory, ethnomusicology, gender and protest music.
I offer private tuition towards grades or just for fun! I’m an enthusiastic and flexible teacher, tailoring lessons to suit each student’s learning style.

I'm a piano and synth player, singer, composer and producer. I've been teaching for many years, alongside a busy music career of composing, performing and producing. My music has been featured by the likes of Gramophone, Songlines, BBC Radio 1, 2, 3 and 6 and UNESCO. I have a First Class Music Degree from Oxford University, as well as many years as a professional pop and electronic music performer.
My lessons mix a strong foundation in theory and music reading with aural training and improvisation. I integrate composition and scoring from early on to contextualise new theory knowledge. I normally teach classical, jazz and popular styles. My teaching style is enthusiastic and relaxed - I aim to pass on a love of music and diverse playing approaches which will keep students playing music for life. I also teach ABRSM grades with 100% record of Merit and Distinction results.
