About Cecilia

I’m a concert pianist and dedicated teacher with over ten years of teaching and performance experience. I hold degrees in Piano Performance from the Eastman School of Music and Northwestern University, and I am currently pursuing my Doctorate in Piano Performance at Université de Montréal.

As an active performer, I have performed internationally and have extensive experience working with students of all ages and levels. I regularly prepare students for RCM and ABRSM examinations, competitions, auditions, and performances, while also helping students develop strong technique, musicality, sight-reading, and confidence at the piano.

My teaching is tailored to each student’s goals, whether you are looking to pursue serious musical study, prepare for an exam or competition, or simply enjoy learning the piano. I strive to create a supportive and focused environment where students can develop both their musical abilities and their independence as musicians.

About the lesson

My teaching combines structured, personalized instruction with warmth, patience, and a strong emphasis on musical expression. Every lesson is tailored to the student’s individual goals, whether you’re a beginner discovering the piano for the first time, a returning adult learner, or an advanced student preparing for exams, competitions, auditions, or performances.

I place equal importance on developing a strong technical foundation and cultivating musicality, creativity, and confidence at the piano. Students learn not only how to play the notes, but how to listen, understand, and communicate through music.

Lessons take place in my private NDG studio on a well-maintained Yamaha C3 grand piano and Boston grand piano, or online via Zoom. I offer 45-minute and 60-minute lessons, with scheduling options designed to accommodate different levels and commitments.
