About Mae

My passion for piano began at a young age through a fascination with melody, harmony, and musical storytelling. This passion inspired me to complete a Bachelor of Music in Piano Studies followed by a Master of Music in Piano Performance. During my 10 years of teaching experience, I have guided students through a wide range of musical journeys.

I believe every student can develop musical confidence when learning takes place in a supportive and encouraging environment. My teaching approach combines technical training with creativity, helping students build both competence and enjoyment. Through personalized instruction and thoughtful guidance, I help learners progress at a pace that suits them.

Outside teaching, I enjoy performing, studying classical and contemporary repertoire, and exploring collaborative music-making. These experiences enrich my lessons and provide students with diverse musical perspectives. Helping students discover the joy of piano playing remains one of the most fulfilling parts of my profession.

About the lesson

My piano lessons are designed to help students develop strong musical foundations while enjoying the creative process of making music. Learners explore note reading, rhythm development, hand coordination, finger independence, sight reading, dynamics, interpretation, and musical expression through structured practice and engaging activities. I focus on helping students understand music as a language rather than simply memorizing pieces. Every lesson encourages growth in both skill and confidence.

Lessons are tailored according to each learner's goals and experience level. Beginners focus on posture, note recognition, basic rhythms, and simple melodies. Intermediate students strengthen technique, coordination, and musical interpretation. Advanced learners work on performance preparation, stylistic understanding, and advanced repertoire development. Continuous guidance and personalized feedback help students achieve steady improvement.

Learning piano develops discipline, concentration, and creativity. My goal is to help students build lifelong musical skills while enjoying the journey of learning and performing. Every lesson supports both technical growth and artistic development.
