About Lana

I completed a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy after years of focused study in classical training, ensemble performance, and advanced teaching methods. Over the past 11 years, I have worked with students of different ages and abilities, helping them grow through personalized guidance and structured instruction. Teaching piano allows me to combine discipline, creativity, and mentorship in a meaningful way. I enjoy helping learners build confidence through music.

My teaching style is patient, flexible, and student-focused. Some students prefer structured technical training, while others respond better to creative exploration and improvisation. I adapt my lessons according to each student’s personality, learning speed, and musical interests. I also focus on improving listening skills, rhythm awareness, expressive playing, and performance readiness. Creating a supportive and positive learning environment is always my priority.

Outside teaching, I continue practicing piano, exploring different musical styles, and studying modern pedagogy methods to improve my teaching approach. Music remains a strong source of inspiration and creativity in my life. One of the most fulfilling parts of teaching is seeing students grow into confident musicians who enjoy expressing themselves through piano.

About the lesson

My piano lessons are designed to help students develop strong musical understanding through a balanced mix of technique, creativity, and structured learning. I teach note reading, rhythm training, finger independence, hand coordination, chord progressions, and expressive playing in a simple and supportive way. Lessons also include sight-reading practice, improvisation activities, duet playing, ear training, and timing exercises that help students grow naturally over time. I create a calm and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable learning at their own pace. Every lesson focuses on building both confidence and musical skill together.

Beginners start with posture, keyboard familiarity, basic scales, and simple melodies to build a strong foundation. Intermediate learners improve coordination, dynamic control, rhythm accuracy, and smooth hand transitions through structured exercises and guided practice. Advanced students focus on expressive interpretation, complex repertoire, performance preparation, and refined musical phrasing. I adjust every lesson based on the student’s level, pace, and personal musical goals to ensure steady improvement.

Learning piano should feel enjoyable and motivating. I encourage students to practice consistently and discover their own musical expression through gradual progress. Many learners become more confident and independent as their skills develop. My goal is to help students build both technical ability and emotional connection with music while enjoying the learning process.
