About Skye

I earned a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance and Music Theory after years of focused study in composition, instrumental performance, and music interpretation during my academic journey. During the past 6 years, I have guided students from different backgrounds and skill levels, helping them improve through personalised instruction and supportive mentorship. Teaching piano allows me to combine creativity, communication, and artistic expression in a rewarding and meaningful way. I enjoy helping learners become more confident musicians through practical and engaging lessons.

My teaching style focuses on adaptability, patience, and balanced musical growth. Some students improve best through structured repetition and technical exercises, while others respond more naturally to improvisation and creative exploration. I carefully adjust lessons according to each learner’s comfort level, confidence, and artistic goals. Along with technical development, I help students strengthen rhythm awareness, listening ability, expressive playing, and performance confidence. Building a supportive and motivating learning atmosphere remains one of my highest priorities as a teacher.

Outside teaching, I continue practising piano, exploring different musical genres, and studying educational techniques that help keep lessons inspiring and engaging. Music remains an important source of creativity and emotional expression in my life. One of the most rewarding parts of teaching is seeing students become more expressive and self-assured throughout their musical journey.

About the lesson

My piano lessons focus on helping students strengthen musical foundations while developing creativity and confidence through organised and engaging learning sessions. I teach note reading, rhythm accuracy, hand coordination, finger independence, expressive phrasing, and dynamic control using practical exercises that feel clear and approachable for learners at every level. Lessons also include ear training, improvisation activities, duet exercises, sight-reading tasks, and timing practice that help students improve naturally through regular repetition. I create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable exploring music while building strong technical habits. Every lesson supports both technical growth and artistic individuality together.

Beginners focus on keyboard familiarity, scales, posture, and simple melodies through patient instruction and structured routines that build healthy playing habits gradually. Intermediate learners improve coordination between both hands, smoother transitions, expressive timing, and rhythmic consistency through guided exercises and focused studies. Advanced students strengthen emotional interpretation, advanced repertoire, stage confidence, and performance preparation through detailed coaching sessions. I carefully adapt lessons according to each learner’s pace, confidence, and musical interests so progress remains balanced and encouraging throughout the learning process.

Learning piano should feel enjoyable, rewarding, and personally meaningful. I encourage students to appreciate steady improvement while building confidence through supportive feedback and regular practice. Many learners become more expressive and independent as their musical understanding develops naturally over time. My goal is to help students strengthen both technical ability and artistic confidence while creating a lasting connection with music.
