About Owen

Learning piano should be enjoyable as well as educational. With 12 years of experience teaching college students, I work hard to create lessons that inspire confidence, creativity, and continuous improvement.

My teaching style is calm, encouraging, and student-focused. I explain every lesson in simple English, demonstrate techniques clearly, and encourage students to learn at a comfortable pace.

I use innovative teaching methods including technology-assisted practice, rhythm training, ear development, listening activities, and personalized exercises. These methods make learning interactive while strengthening musical ability.

Students develop confidence in note reading, scales, chords, finger techniques, posture, rhythm, and expressive performance. I provide helpful feedback and effective practice strategies that encourage steady progress.

About the lesson

My goal is to help students learn piano with confidence and enjoyment. Every lesson is personalized according to the student's experience, learning pace, and musical interests. I believe learning becomes more effective when students enjoy the process.

I use real-life examples and practical situations to explain musical concepts. Rhythm is connected to everyday movements, while theory is taught using familiar songs and practical demonstrations. Students also learn through simple case studies that show how musicians solve real performance challenges.

Understanding is always my priority. I explain each topic patiently and make sure students fully understand before moving ahead. This creates a strong musical foundation and improves confidence.

Communication is open and supportive. Students are encouraged to ask questions, share their ideas, and discuss any difficulties. I provide clear explanations and constructive feedback to help them improve after every lesson.

Integrity is reflected in my commitment, honesty, and respect. I encourage students to practice consistently and celebrate every milestone. Besides piano, I teach keyboard, music theory, ear training, sight reading, improvisation, rhythm development, accompaniment, and beginner composition.
