About Julia

Hello! My name is Julia. I have 18 years of experience with piano, and I am hoping for many more to come. I currently hold a bachelor’s degree in piano performance and pedagogy, and am hoping to continue my studies for a master’s degree and PhD in the near future. I currently hold the position as an adjunct professor of piano at a local, private university, where I work with students of all levels. I also teach private lessons in person, both at a studio, and meeting families at their homes. When I am not teaching, I am often performing gigs, or practicing my own musicianship with both the piano and violin.

About the lesson

My teaching philosophy is based on the student’s personal goals. I am for the student just wanting to learn how to read music for the first time, for the returning student, or for the student wishing to develop a greater understanding of music through refined technique and artistry. All ages are welcome!

Lessons are molded to the student’s level, talent, abilities, and dedication. Practice is a must! In order to move forward with music, the student must put in time away from the lesson. As the teacher, it is my joy to inspire the desire for music outside of lessons!

I have experience working with 4-year-olds, all the way up to 80-year-olds.
