About Ivy

My interest in piano started from a love for harmony, melody, and expressive performance during my childhood music education. I completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Music before earning a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance Education. Over the last 6 years, I have guided students through musical growth using supportive teaching and structured practice methods.

I enjoy adapting lessons to different confidence levels, learning styles, and musical interests. Some students improve through technical repetition and exercises, while others respond better to creativity and expressive interpretation. My teaching style combines patience, encouragement, and balanced musical learning.

Outside teaching, I enjoy arranging piano compositions, exploring classical repertoire, and studying contemporary keyboard music. Staying active in music helps me bring fresh ideas into lessons. Teaching piano is meaningful to me because I enjoy helping students express confidence and creativity through music.

About the lesson

My piano lessons help students develop technical ability while building creativity and emotional connection with music. I teach rhythm training, note reading, hand coordination, scales, dynamics, chord progressions, and expressive interpretation using practical exercises that make learning smooth and enjoyable. Lessons are supportive, structured, and focused on steady musical improvement.

Beginners strengthen their foundations through simple melodies, rhythm exercises, and coordination activities that gradually improve keyboard control. Intermediate learners develop stronger timing accuracy, expressive phrasing, and accompaniment skills through guided repertoire and technical drills. Advanced students focus on artistic interpretation, advanced keyboard techniques, and confident performance preparation through detailed musical study.

I encourage students to enjoy the musical process instead of feeling pressured by perfection. Lessons support creativity, patience, and self-expression while helping learners improve comfortably. My goal is to help students become expressive, relaxed, and confident piano players.
