About Courtney

I am a piano tutor with 11 years of experience and a Master of Music in Piano Studies. I enjoy helping students achieve meaningful progress by creating lessons that are encouraging, organized, and enjoyable.

My teaching philosophy combines technical development with musical creativity. I believe students improve best when they understand each concept clearly and feel confident enough to express themselves through music.

Outside teaching, I enjoy composing piano music, accompanying instrumentalists, and studying piano literature from different musical periods. These experiences enrich every lesson with practical knowledge and artistic inspiration.

About the lesson

My piano lessons encourage students to learn through understanding, creativity, and consistent practice. We study finger coordination, rhythm reading, note recognition, scales, chord progressions, pedal technique, dynamics, sight reading, and expressive interpretation using enjoyable activities and carefully selected repertoire. Every lesson helps students develop confidence while improving their musical skills.

As learners progress, we introduce improvisation, duet performance, accompaniment techniques, ear training, phrasing, performance preparation, creative interpretation, and confident stage presentation. I provide clear explanations and personalized guidance that help students grow into expressive and independent pianists.

My goal is to help students enjoy every moment of learning while building lasting musical ability. Every lesson develops technique, creativity, and performance confidence that supports lifelong enjoyment of piano.
