About MIN

I hold a Master’s degree in Piano Performance from the University of Manchester and have over 20 years of piano-playing experience, alongside six years of teaching experience. I am passionate about music education and enjoy working with students of different ages and abilities. My teaching style is patient, encouraging and adaptable, with a strong focus on helping each student build confidence and develop a genuine enjoyment of music. I am currently undertaking a PGCE in Secondary Music, further developing my professional skills in music education and classroom teaching.

About the lesson

Each lesson is tailored to the individual student’s age, level, learning style and goals. Lessons can include piano technique, sight-reading, musical expression, music theory, aural skills, performance skills and ABRSM exam preparation. With six years of teaching experience, I have successfully prepared students for ABRSM Piano exams, with students achieving Distinction and Merit results. My students have also achieved Gold Awards in piano competitions. I teach students of all ages and levels, from complete beginners to advanced players. Whether you are preparing for an ABRSM exam, improving your technique and musicianship, or simply learning piano for enjoyment, I will tailor the lessons to help you progress confidently and at your own pace. Lessons are available for 30 minutes or one hour.
