About Viggo

I am an experienced Piano instructor with 17 years of teaching experience. Throughout my teaching career, I have helped school students, college students, and working professionals develop strong musical foundations and achieve their personal goals.

My teaching style combines structure, creativity, and encouragement. I believe students learn best when lessons are engaging, goal-oriented, and adapted to their learning pace.

My lessons include piano techniques, scales, chords, rhythm training, sight reading, ear training, music theory, improvisation, and performance preparation. I focus on helping students build both technical accuracy and musical expression.

Apart from Piano, I teach keyboard skills and foundational music theory. These areas help students gain a deeper understanding of music and become more versatile performers.

I am committed to helping students enjoy learning while continuously improving their abilities. Through patience, personalised guidance, and practical exercises, I help students reach their full musical potential.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is centred on communication, creativity, flexibility, and continuous encouragement. I believe every student learns differently, so I prepare lessons that are simple, engaging, and suitable for their individual needs. My classes focus on building confidence while making learning enjoyable.

Students begin with posture, hand position, rhythm exercises, finger coordination, note reading, and music theory. Once they master these basics, they progress to scales, chords, arpeggios, pedal techniques, dynamics, expressive playing, sight reading, and performance preparation.

I explain every lesson using practical demonstrations and real musical examples. Students are encouraged to ask questions, participate actively, and understand every concept before moving forward. Regular practice plans and progress reviews help students improve steadily.

Students explore different musical genres and develop creativity through improvisation, accompaniment, and musical interpretation. These activities improve musical confidence and performance skills.

Besides piano, I teach keyboard fundamentals, rhythm training, ear training, music theory, sight reading, performance preparation, and music appreciation. These supporting subjects help students become complete musicians.

My goal is to provide enjoyable lessons that inspire confidence, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for music.
