About Fiona
With a rich background in teaching beginner piano lessons to after-school clubs for children and adults, I bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the table. What sets me apart is not only my passion for teaching, but also my own journey as a late starter in the piano world. In my twenties, I embarked on my own musical odyssey, learning from a distinguished member of the CBSO and top-level pianist. This invaluable experience not only honed my technical prowess but also instilled in me a deep appreciation for the transformative power of music. Throughout my teaching career, I have received excellent referrals and garnered praise for my ability to inspire and guide students in their musical journey. By prioritizing correct technique and a solid foundation in music theory, I empower my students to develop a strong musical proficiency. Each term, I culminate the lessons with a captivating concert, allowing students to showcase the skills they have acquired throughout their dedicated practice and dedication. My passion for teaching, coupled with my dedication to fostering a love for the piano, has enabled me to create a nurturing environment where students thrive and discover the joy of playing this beautiful instrument.
