About Marta
I am a classically trained violinist - I've graduated from Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznan, Poland with a master's degree in performing arts- and a performing artist with a 20+ years experience in improvised music, switching between genres like Bossanova, folk, jazz, gypsy, freestyle. I have experience in working with children and being a mum myself makes me understand that every child requires a different approach so I give everyone my full attention. I also enjoy teaching adults and my classes can include ear training and learning musical notation if the student is interested.

Being both classically trained and an improvising musician let me shape a lesson exactly around student's needs. A lesson lasts 1 hour and all ages and levels are welcomed. My teaching philosophy is to get familiar with the instrument from the very beginning and start playing tunes and simple musical phrases as soon as possible, in different genres. Violin has the reputation of a difficult instrument but I can show you it is only about your approach, consistency and baby steps, one at a time!
