About Molly

Ten years ago, when I was an AS student starting my first lessons in politics, I had chosen the subject knowing very little about it. My teacher inspired me each week with his lessons, teaching us about different perspectives on power, ideology and governance. I began to understand politics as being the vessel through which the world changes, for the better or worse, and fell in love with the subject. I believe studying politics can change the way you think, seeing the nuance in debates and opening up your ability to consider different perspectives. These skills are beneficial no matter what career path you choose. I am passionate about the positive change having a politically aware young population can have in the world, and wish to inspire and support students with this.

I also wish to support students who may consider studying politics at university, as I found my education consistently inspiring, interesting and exciting, which is just what I think an education should be. I studied the power of China, US Foreign Policy, the Economics of Africa, International Development and Political Philosophy, amongst many other topics. I would like to share these experiences with students.

Finally, as a politics graduate, I would like to be able to offer a perspective to students who are considering a career path in politics. I would like to support students to consider graduate schemes, and build up a portfolio of work experience and internships to give them the best change of success. This would be especially useful for A Level students looking towards further study.

I am a caring and patient individual who genuinely wants to see each student achieve their full potential, but to do so in a supportive, positive environment.

About the lesson

I offer lessons to AS and A level students in Politics. I also offer support to first year Politics students.

Lessons will typically be between 45 minutes and an hour, however this is flexible.

Lessons could include preparation for examinations, support with course work, or regular sessions to support students to achieve the best results through out their studies.

Lessons can be in a formal format, including essay writing practice and learning content, or they could be informal discussions around political affairs. This will be tailored to the needs of each student.

I am an inclusive teacher and can provide special support to dyslexic learners.
