About Farida
I am a university student, in my third year, on my way to receive my BA in Politics & International Relations. During my gap year, I had the unforgettable opportunity of working as an English and Politics teacher in a langues high school in Northern Italy for 10 months. This challenging, and extremely rewarding, opportunity not only enabled me to reinforce my own knowledge, but also allowed me to acquire my own teaching style and methodology as my lessons had to be comprehensible to foreign language students.

The main component of my teaching style consists incorporating real life context to my lessons. I have seen that this method of teaching allows students to apply what they already know to a topic so the new information is easy digestible. It also works in their favour as they are able to have up to date example to use in exams to corroborate their argument. In addition to this, I use debates to reinforce the knowledge learnt as this gives the student the opportunity to thoroughly explain their own opinion along with the opposing factors using examples from real life.
