About Jessica
Jessy Pumphrey
is an award-winning Polynesian Dancer and instructor, based in Southern California. Born in Guadalajara Mexico, her passion for dance began as a child, and she has been performing, competing and teaching worldwide ever since.
Jessy was introduced to Polynesian music and dance by her teacher Paty Chavez in 2002, and eventually trained with Nonosina, Moena Maiotui, Makau Foster among others.
To date, Jessy has acquired over 20 years of Polynesian dancing experience. Throughout that time, she has performed and taught workshops internationally and won numerous Tahitian solo dance competitions including the Overall ‘Arioi 2022 in Tahiti!
Today, Jessy continues sharing her passion of Polynesian dance with the world as the Co-Director of the group Hitira’a Tahi offering online dance courses.
